Wayne from Rhesus
February 25, 2005
A Rhesus monkey was the first primate to go into space, Wayne from Rhesus is never going to get into space in these shoes. I think they'd crumple into a ball and destroy his feet on take off. I like them though, more suitable for dancing in maybe than Martian mountain trekking. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/waynes-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 09:20 PM
Christian from The Datsuns
February 24, 2005
According to Christian from The Datsuns, these are rubbish shoes with odd Cuban heels. I quite like them, as mentioned before I am a huge supporter of the boys wearing boots movement. Everyone should take a leaf from this book, and if Elton John is reading this, please start wearing boots, so when I eventually track you down, you'll at least be wearing something decent that I can photograph. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/datsuns-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:36 PM
George from 10,000 Things
February 21, 2005
I like these shoes. "blue and green should never be seen". pah. George Riley, the bass player from 10,000 Things, is clearly proving grandmothers everywhere wrong. I think the shoes on the floor in the background belonged to Sam, George's brother and also the lead singer. George clearly got the style genes over the vocal chord genes. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/georges-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:38 PM
Alan from The Rakes
February 18, 2005
This looks like I took the photo in black and white, but its just a man fond of the monochrome in a room with a grey carpet. maybe he chose that room on purpose because of its beautiful carpet. This is Alan Donohoe, the lead singer of The Rakes. They are a terribly good band with clearly terribly good shoes. No scuffs. Hurrah. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/rakes-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:41 PM
Guy from 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster
February 15, 2005
80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster. Now there's a long band name. Longest on the site yet. More scruff and dirt on shoes here, are our favourite stars moonlighting in the territorial army. This is Guy and I don't think he'd make a very good soldier. Its just as well he's ace in his daytime job. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/guys-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:52 PM
Death From Above 1979
February 11, 2005
My first whole band I think, these are the Death From Above 1979 boys -Sebastien Grainger, the drums/vocal man and Jesse F. Keeler, in charge of bass and synth. Apologies for the photo, it was a last minute encounter so had to make do with a camera phone. I think the black shoes make up for it though, I like the blue laces on black shoes thing. They're both wearing Pumas, do I smell the whiff of sponsorship? http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/dfa-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:42 PM
Adam Green
February 10, 2005
I was hoping a little that this man, Mr Adam Green, wouldn't wear shoes and would instead turn up bare foot. Or maybe even in costume boots, like elf shoes, or maybe gorilla boots, in a hark back to days gone by. Alas, no. These are still suitably boho though, so they still fit in a little with my perfect Adam Green in the sky image that I hold dear. I can still picture him kicking conkers down a country lane in these. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/adams-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:54 PM
Johnny from Dogs
February 08, 2005
How about this for a ballet pose? Very pretty. Great shoes too. So scuffed. I love white shoes. Shows a lot of confidence. A bit like men who wear pink. He blamed this feat of nature on an accident in his early years. I've tried it myself, it's not an easy pose. This wannabe Darcey Bussell is Johnny from Dogs. He'd look great in tights. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/dogs-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:56 PM
Sarah from The Rocks
February 05, 2005
Sarah claims to be a strict, but not yet hardcore vegan, and so apologises to everyone for wearing leather shoes. She is however, in both Wet Dog and The Rocks, who are both ace, so I'll let her off. My argument that they were sparkly and therefore morally acceptable didn't really work with her. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/sarahs-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:57 PM
Ian from Art Brut
February 04, 2005
I did warn you all I was after an Art Brut collection. Today marks the 3 down, 2 to go stage. As mentioned in a previous entry I did get them on different days. Its not as easy to track these guys down as you'd think. This is Ian Catskilkin, guitarist extraordinaire. All I have left to get is Fredie and Mike, then my collection is complete. Hurrah. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/ians-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 02:58 PM
David from The Boyfriends
February 02, 2005
So, more converses still. These are converses with hype around them though. Stuck on the end of the pins of David from The Boyfriends these shoes are likely to see some very big audiences this year. They were described by NME as ?the most captivating prospect of this oncoming winter?. You know where you saw them first... http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/davids-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 03:00 PM
Chris from Art Brut
February 01, 2005
Another photo taken of a man in a less than sober state. really, what would their mothers say? Like Mr Paul Smith before him, this is a man often seen suited and booted, Mr Chris Chinchilla of Art Brut. And yes, I know, two pictures of the same band on the site now, but in my defense they are different members and taken on different days. So ha! There might even be a third member on its way, I'm building a collection you see. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/chins-shoes_thumb.jpgPosted by Helen at 03:03 PM
