Sam from Nine Black Alps

April 27, 2005

OK, so this photo is a little more Popstar Legs than Feets, but in my defence it was very dark, and I'd been drinking pitchers of something called 'Sexy Frog'. Regardless of my ineptitude, Sam from Nine Black Alps seemed thrilled to have a photo of his shoes taken, telling me he was going to phone his mum the next day to tell her. I'm sure that buried under the reams of brown corduroy there are some very pretty shoes and his mum is very proud. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/nine-shoes_thumb.jpg

Tom Vek

April 25, 2005

Black Stan Smiths. I own a pair and can vouch for their comfort level but they're hardly gonna set the fire in anyone. But in terms of cult trainer Tom Vek has made a wise decision. Classy boy. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/Veks-shoes_thumb.jpg

Alex from Arctic Monkeys

April 21, 2005

Our second monkey related band. First Rhesus (a type of monkey) and now Arctic Monkeys. Getting the original Monkees might be a bit tough now. Alex, the lead singer of the truly brilliant Arctic Monkeys, was so proud that these little delights cost only £5. ''Thats only £2.50 per shoe'' he states with a huge grin on his face. Thriftiness and the best songs about dancing ever. It is impossible not to love them. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/arctic-shoes_thumb.jpg

Carl Barat

April 18, 2005

Shiny hair and shiny shoes? Mr Carl Barat treats us too well. They could do with a bit of polish though, maybe his solo stuff away from The Libertines is using up all his time that should be spent at the cobblers. These do look a little bit like Stu Plimsole's shoes thinking about it. Carl is clearly one step behind, Stu had the chelsea boot craze all wrapped up months ago. Ugh, Carl is just so fashion backwards. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/carl-shoes_thumb.jpg

Phil from Modey Lemon

April 12, 2005

He's Jake the Peg, with his extra leg... God, I wish I had the shoes of Rolf Harris. There's a new mission for me. Less wobble boards and more Moog. Thats what this world needs and Modey Lemon have come all the way from Pittsburgh to tell us so. Freak aspect aside, Phil has good shoes and nicely presented socks. No holes - take note Mr Argos. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/Phil-Modey_Lemon2_thumb.jpg

Olly from Snow White

April 08, 2005

Now I'm not a religious girl, but in some ways the Pope was a pretty good guy. And so in honour of the man who famously wore white Dr Martens here is another pair of the Northampton built clodhoppers. Olly Parker from Snow White was kind enough to flash us a bit of calf. Mmm... racy. Snow White have a song about paedophile porn too. Something the catholic church is only too familiar with. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/Singer-Snow_White2_thumb.jpg

Liz from Ladyfuzz

April 04, 2005

This reminds me a bit of the Gin Palace album cover, though with less flamenco and more Cinderella on a skate board. Ladyfuzz have often been mentioned as being a muse for Bloc Party, though I don't remember any Bloc Party songs about great shoes. They boys love her, especially in Berlin, and with matching skirt and shoes it's easy to see why. http://www.popstarfeets.co.uk/images/thumbs/Ladyfuzz2-2_thumb.jpg
